    GEOLOGY FOR MINING RESOURCES

    The main objective is to contribute on the comprehensive knowledge of natural resources for development of a rational and responsible mining industry, working under safety standards, taking care of environment and generating a positive social development.
    This section constitutes a great space to interchange scientific knowledge and cutting-edge technology to find and put in value new discoveries, as well as optimize exploitation and metallurgical benefits, tasks where geology has a very important role in the development of our country.

    GEOLOGY FOR ENERGETIC RESOURCES

    This section is centred in the evolution and perspectives of hydrocarbons exploration and exploitation with special emphasis in the onshore-offshore exploration. On the same way, E&D projects will be presented, its new challenges and contributions of the generated data, using new tools to discover deposits, generating positive results for a coherent and accurate industry management. Likewise, we contribute with Government institutions in the scientific information processing in order to promote more exploration investments.

    GEOLOGY RISKS, GEOTECHNIQUE AND GEOENVIRONMENT

    Resilient cities are based in the knowledge and reduction of the geological and seismic risk, so much for the expansion of these, as for the location of development projects in areas of less danger; therefore, sustainable in time. The topics to be presented and discussed within this section will be of great support in the decisions of regional and local governments.
